Paulina Seyfried (she/her) describes herself as white, queer, and disabled. She works as a programme curator and applied researcher specializing in collaborative practice, institutional critique and disability justice.
From a crip-queer perspective, her research is investigating in questions of weakness, pacing, and innovative crip institutional models. Simultaneously, she accompanies organizations through transformation processes. Besides her own collaborative projects like Bedarfsgemeinschaft, she has worked at cultural institutions such as the Rautenstrauch-Joest-Museum as part of the Leaky Archive project, the European Creative Programme Islands of Kinship, Festival Theaterformen, and un-label. She served as managing director of insert female artist and headed the residency programme at Akademie der Künste der Welt.
Currently, she directs the digital residency format Modes of Access, a collaborative project between Stiftung Künstlerdorf and Kaethe:k Kunsthaus, and is working at the German Institute for Human Rights.
In 2025, Paulina Seyfried was a mentee at Gropius Bau, supported by the „pik – Programme for Inclusive Artistic Practice“ of the German Federal Cultural Foundation and Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media. In 2021, she received a research and work grant for visual arts from the city of Cologne, which led to the development of her mapping Arena of Contemporaneity (AoC).
Paulina Seyfried served on the Advisory Board of the Cultural Office of the City of Cologne from 2022 to 2025.
She has contributed to several publications, including „(In-)Accessibility of Language in the Art Field“ in: A Collective Manual for Sustainable and Inclusive Art Institutions (Jindrich Chalupecky Gesellschaft and Mousse Verlag, Milan 2024); „We Are All in This Together“ in: Performanzen & Praktiken.
